Q3 Lions embracing Diversity

Moggill Family Lions Branch of Moggill Mt Crosby Lions Club

The Lions cubs collected toys and made gifts to donate to children in need.

The cubs helped out with an environmental project, cleaning up an area and planting with native bushes.

This event was a dog walk to raise funds and awareness for the Lions Hearing Dogs project.

The cubs run a bike ride for children while the club runs a large bike run for the community

Boondall Lions Club

Boondall Lions Club had a food stall to sell Chicken Curry, Rice, Samosas & Chutney, plus Dim Sims, and cold drinks. A total of $AUD900.00 was raised.  $AUD500.00 was donated to Australian Lions Foundation to help farmers in severely drought affected areas. $AUD300.00 was donated to Lions Medical Research Foundation. Most members of Boondall Lions Club come from a diverse background, including myself.  I have been with Lions for 40 years now. 30 years with Boondall Lions Club which celebrates its 41st charter anniversary this year.

Lions Club of Toowoomba West

On Sunday 11th Aug 2019 members of the Lions Club of Toowoomba West Inc. and guests attended the official opening of the Lions Clubs International Centenary Project at the Lions Park, Picnic Point, Toowoomba. The project was done in 3 stages, where shade sails were erected on top of the lions train tunnel, then a concrete slab laid, followed by the installation of 4 tables and 8 bench seats with wheel chair access.   The photos show the Lions Club members having a ride on their train in front of the newly refurbished rocket. The train operates each Sunday from 12 o’clock to 3pm.
